Flashes

Flashes are the bright light that comes from your camera. It's usually used when you need more light into a picture. On digital cameras they are usually automatic so you don't have to worry about your pictures being to dark. These digital cameras now also have something they call fill in flashes which are usually not as bright as regular flashes, but do the same job brighten up your picture. Camera flashes have changed over the years and for the better. Most flashes on today's cameras are very bright to a point of blinding a person who gets a good look at it. Flashes continue to improve and there was a time when people had to adjust their flash and have to manually set the flash. This became a headache as getting it perfectly set with the opening of the lens was tough sometimes. With the technology we have now that is a virtual thing of the past and I'm for one are very happy with the changes. It makes picture taking alot easier and you have less chances of making a mistake. Flashes have gotten to the point you really don't have to worry about them.

More Information

Before digital cameras you had the old point and shoot cameras and you would have to buy flash bulbs separate from your film. This could run into some money for you. The biggest problem beside the cost was many times the flash would not go off and you could lose a valuable picture that you wanted. With digital cameras that is a thing of the past now. Electronic flashes happen when you need them and you can shut them off if you want or even add in a fill in flash. This has made taking picture so much easier and the proof is in the results of the pictures you take. Some of the bigger SLR cameras though still use a manual flash that you can add to your camera if you want. These flashes are bright and work well with these type of cameras. Many times people don't realize how important flashes are to their cameras until they don't work. When this happens they realize that flashes are a vital part of taking pictures anymore. Flashes will continue to get brighter and better as cameras do. In the future look for flashes to play a bigger rule in getting you better pictures.
